Terms of Service

The customer-facing terms for the FaberPDF website, beta access license, Paddle checkout handoff, and guarded download flow.

Agreement

These Terms of Service apply to the FaberPDF website, download flow, license pages, and desktop software made available by Adnan Crnovršanin.

By using the website or installing FaberPDF, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or software.

The product

FaberPDF is a desktop PDF editor focused on signing documents, annotating PDFs, validating documents, and editing text in existing PDFs.

The current commercial offer is a one-time purchase for access to the FaberPDF beta, currently planned as version 0.1.0. Pricing for version 1.0.0 has not been decided yet.

Paddle is used for the checkout flow once the public client token and beta price ID are configured.

Beta access license

  • A paid beta purchase grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the FaberPDF beta for the buyer's own desktop workflow.
  • There are no Solo, Business, subscription, or multi-seat tiers in the current beta offer.
  • The beta purchase does not guarantee future version 1.0.0 pricing, packaging, feature scope, or upgrade terms unless those terms are separately published.
  • You may not resell, sublicense, share, rent, lease, or make the software available as a hosted service without written permission.

License keys and activation

License keys should be issued only after confirmed Paddle payment. The app may validate a license locally or through a license service when that infrastructure is connected.

If your beta license key is lost, invalid, or over-activated, contact support from the email address used for purchase so the license record can be reviewed.

Payments, taxes, and refunds

Paddle may act as merchant of record or payment processor for beta purchases and may handle checkout, taxes, invoices, receipts, refunds, and payment-related customer data under its own terms and policies.

Refund rules should be displayed during Paddle checkout. If the local Paddle environment variables are not configured, the website can only show the guarded download handoff and cannot complete a paid order.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use FaberPDF to violate law, infringe rights, bypass technical restrictions, or process documents you are not authorized to edit or sign.
  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with license checks, or attempt to extract non-public source code except where applicable law prohibits this restriction.
  • Do not use the website or software in a way that harms availability, security, reputation, or other users.

Your documents

You are responsible for the PDF files you open, edit, sign, export, and distribute. You should review documents before sending them and confirm that any signature or text change is accurate and authorized.

FaberPDF does not provide legal advice, signature validity advice, or document compliance advice.

Updates and availability

The beta may change as the desktop app, payment flow, license handling, and support process evolve. Features may be added, changed, or removed as long as required consumer rights are respected.

We may suspend access to downloads, license services, or support if needed for maintenance, security, abuse prevention, or legal reasons.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the website and software are provided as is and as available. We do not promise that every PDF can be edited perfectly or that every workflow will be error-free.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer protection law.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, FaberPDF and its owner are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or document mistakes.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount paid for the affected license unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
